After researching the Back of the Yards in Chicago, my partner and I realized that there was a lack of access to technology within the community whether it be internet, cellular data, or computers. This has a direct correlation to the educational quality of this area. Our focus is to break this boundary and give this community and similar communities equitable access to both knowledge, tools and space to learn from one another. This will be achieved by disseminating a manual of instructions within the neighborhoods of Chicago adjacent to the Back of the Yards. These instructions will inform them on how to build out temporary structures which will create tech pods throughout the community.
